JD Stensland was born in Wolf Point, Montana and raised on a farm and cattle operation that was homesteaded by his great grandparents in 1914. He was actively involved in FFA and Montana High School Rodeo. After graduating high school, JD attended Dawson Community College on a rodeo scholarship pursuing a degree in Agriculture business. During that time he followed his passion for hunting and over the next 12 years he guided hunters for a local outfitter every fall.

In 2007 JD and his wife Kami moved back to the family ranch where he worked side by side with his dad. In 2017 JD took the reigns as the 4^th generation producer. A few years into management he planted the farm ground back to grass and is now successfully running cattle in a high stock density adaptive grazing program as well as custom grazing yearlings, calving outside heifers and managing the family cow herd. Soil health and grass management became high priority in the operation.

In 2024 JD combined his lifelong hunting passion with his business knowledge and his outfitting business, Circle S Outfitters, was started. Throughout his hunting years JD has been vastly interested in land and land management which led him to obtaining his real estate license in 2025. His steadfast belief is you regard and respect every landowner’s holding as you would your own.
